OK, so I am determined to keep this up, and although it's been a long day, here I am!
I had a great weekend. Minimual housework was done, the rest of my time was spent happily stamping and playing with my new pastel Spectrum Noir pens - thank you Lisa! (That Craft Place).
I managed to make four new cards, I hope you like them....
I was really happy with these roses...
A nice one for Valentine's day......
My first time using this stamp.....
My favourite of the weekend.
Thanks for stopping by, I'll see you next week!

New Years Resolution!
Well, as you can see I have not been very good at adding to my new blog. It's been months! Day to day life always seems to get in the way of doing the things you love. One of my new years resolutions was to try and do better at Blogging this year, and to do more of the nice things in life instead of worrying about work and doing the hoovering!
It's the 19th of January 2012 and my renewed love of card making and wanting to be able to link up with others with the same love has spurred me on to add my new creations!
I hope you like them?
See you soon!

New Blogger on the Block!
I don't know about you but, I always feel that I'm always trailing behind when it comes to technology. Although not totally technically challenged, I don't always get it.
I am totally new to all of this Blogging!! So if you come across my blog hopefully you will find it entertaining if nothing else.
I love to make things and have really caught the sewing bug recently. My lovely husband bought me a sewing machine at Christmas (under instruction!) and I have amazed myself, a complete novice at the little steps I have taken already.
I must say a BIG thank you to Tracey. She is a lovely lady who has recently opened her sewing shop in Eastbourne called The Owl and The Sewing Cat and what a wonderful source of inspiration it is.
I wandered into her shop on a Saturday morning and was welcomed with a smile, and when I mentioned that I was completely new to sewing and had never used a machine before, she very kindly sat down with me there and then and showed me how to make my very own pin cushion on one of the machines in her shop. Now I know that a pin cushion, and a square one at that sounds a little too simple, but for someone that had never sewn anything before, it was a huge kick start to what has become a bit of an obsession with fabric and patterns!!
I hope you find some inspiration from what is to come on my blog to create your own wonderful things to fill your home with.
After all, it's nice not to have a reason for having things, other than you just think they are pretty. It's also even better if you are able to recycle what you have into something new.
As it is my first post, if anyone out there has read this, I would like to say Hello! and that I hope to get better and add more info as I go along.
Dawn.
