Where does the time go?

Well I have been totally rubbish with keeping to my new years resolution and posting here weekly. Sorry to those of you who follow this blog. I must try harder!

I have been sooo busy lately, and on top of that I have joined Facebook!  Something I said I wouldn't do and I am trying very hard not be totally hooked on it!

I had a wonderful day at That Craft Place yesterday with the lovely owner Lisa. Visit her online shop, or if you are in Eastbourne pop in and check out the shop. It's lovely! :)

Sometime in the near future I will selling some of my hand made wares in Lisa's shop, so keep an eye out for that! (A sneaky peek of my hand made flowers inked with distress inks)

I think I may need to purchase a couple of these stamps, they are soo nice to colour in.

Thanks for popping by.

Toppers to Cards

I don't know about you, but sometimes I just like to sit and colour in ! Only then you end up with all toppers and no cards !

I thought I had better make some cards up. All of the images are from a great value bundle at Pollycraft. I hope you like them. x

I have been doing a little bit of sewing too over the last couple of weeks. This Owl Door Stop was from a pattern lent to me by Tracy at The Owl & The Sewing Cat in Eastbourne. Check their web site, or if you are anywhere near it is definately worth a visit. The shop is full of wonderful inspiration for anyone who loves sewing, and classes available for those who would like to learn. Tracy the owner is a very kind and patient teacher, with both Tracy and Lauren always happy to give advice even if it is just to help decide which beautiful fabric to use out of the many to choose from for your next project.

I was recently asked by a friend at the gym to make her little girl some bunting with her name on.
I hope you like it Isla - Sophia ?

Well I'm off to make a hippo now, I'll let you know how I get on with my new pattern!

Take care

Be my Valentine

Hi Everyone.

I hoped you all had a romantic Valentines Day? As you may have already guessed, I did make my Hubby a Valentine's card.
I am entering this into That Craft Place Challenge - "Love is all around" I hope you like it.

My Husband thought he would give card making a go too, and after this first attempt said...
"I didn't think card making was that difficult, you make it look too easy!"
I just love that he had a go, and he didn't do too bad a job either! Thanks Babe x

I mustn't forget to say thank you to Lisa at That Craft Place for my award - I must admit I am not very good at Blogging and doing my very best to post as often as I can. I will get some time to visit more Blogs in the next week or so, and hopefully be able to pass on this lovely award.

I made this card inspired by the previous challenge on That Craft Place, I didn't have time to make it before the challenge closed, but wanted to show you. I used Whimsie Doodles Sea Shell Leah Digi Stamp, sandpaper for the sand and the sand castle.

I was also asked by a friend to make an 18th Birthday card for her Neice last week. I tried out my new paper flowers!

Thanks for stopping by.

Sunday 5 February 2012

Another busy week !

For those of you who are not braving the snow this morning, I have put together a couple of cards a friend of mine asked me to make for Birthdays in her family. The designs are from La La Land Crafts, I just love their Marci & Luca Digi stamps! More practice with my Noir pens!

I was also invited by the lovely Lisa via the Do Crafts site to enter her ATC swapping world ! I have never made an ATC and when confronted with the 2.5 x 3.5 inch space I actually panicked a little!  Aptly titled - January brings the snow or Frosty mornings! Here is my creation.

If you would like to join in the ATC fun let me know.

I'm going to have a hot chocolate now and browse the net for more crafty stash !
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Determination!

OK, so I am determined to keep this up, and although it's been a long day, here I am!
I had a great weekend. Minimual housework was done, the rest of my time was spent happily stamping and playing with my new pastel Spectrum Noir pens - thank you Lisa! (That Craft Place).
I managed to make four new cards, I hope you like them....

I was really happy with these roses...

A nice one for Valentine's day......

My first time using this stamp.....

My favourite of the weekend.

Thanks for stopping by, I'll see you next week!

New Years Resolution!

Well, as you can see I have not been very good at adding to my new blog. It's been months! Day to day life always seems to get in the way of doing the things you love. One of my new years resolutions was to try and do better at Blogging this year, and to do more of the nice things in life instead of worrying about work and doing the hoovering!
It's the 19th of January 2012 and my renewed love of card making and wanting to be able to link up with others with the same love has spurred me on to add my new creations!
I hope you like them?

See you soon!
